To securely delete your account, please follow the steps below. This two-step verification process ensures that only you can authorize this action.

Account Deletion Information

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides you with options to manage and delete your Film Finance account and associated data.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Personal profile information (name, email, phone number)
  • Project information and fundraising campaign data
  • Investor communication history and updates
  • Payment processing records and transaction history
  • Campaign analytics and progress reports
  • Media uploads (videos, images, pitch decks)
  • Notification preferences and account settings

Before You Delete

Please consider the following before proceeding with account deletion:

  • Data Export: Download your campaign data and investor information if you want to keep records
  • Active Campaigns: Ensure all active fundraising campaigns are properly concluded
  • Investor Communication: Notify your investors about account closure and provide alternative contact methods
  • Financial Records: Keep copies of financial transactions for tax and legal purposes
  • Alternative Options: Consider deactivating instead of deleting if you might return to fundraising
  • Campaign Assets: Your fundraising page will become inaccessible to investors

Deletion Process

Once this feature is available, you will be able to:

  • Request immediate account deletion through the app
  • Choose data retention periods for regulatory compliance
  • Receive confirmation of successful data deletion
  • Export your data before deletion (optional)

Data Retention

Some data may be retained for legal and regulatory compliance purposes, including:

  • Anonymized usage statistics for platform improvement and research
  • Transaction records as required by financial regulations
  • Legal compliance data for fraud prevention and security
  • Aggregated campaign performance data (with personal identifiers removed)

Reactivation

Please note that once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Film Finance again, you will need to create a new account and set up new fundraising campaigns from scratch.

Impact on Active Campaigns

If you have active fundraising campaigns, account deletion will result in:

  • Immediate deactivation of all active campaigns
  • Loss of investor access to campaign updates and information
  • Disruption of ongoing fundraising activities
  • Need for alternative communication methods with existing investors
